DFGC Scholarship Project
Mark Meloni, a junior at University of Delaware, was the recipient of scholarships from both DFGC and NGC in 2017 and 2018. Mark is working towards a degree in Environmental Studies, concentrating in Environmental Advocacy and minoring in Coastal and Marine Geo-Science. He expects to graduate in the Fall of 2019 and will pursue a role in environmental policy or advocacy.
In his remarks following the scholarship presentation at our annual awards meeting in 2017, Mark thanked our members and remarked how honored he felt to be surrounded by so many people who share his interests. It was a privilege for us to award him the scholarships and to meet him personally at our meeting.
DFGC Scholarship Chair Elva Davidson, pictured here with Mark following the 2017 Awards Ceremony, was extremely proud to make the presentation of these awards to such a deserving Delaware student. These scholarship are funded through donations and Life Memberships in DFGC and NGC.
