Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs (CAR-SGC)
Garden clubs come together throughout Delaware, Maryland, National Capital Area, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania for opportunities to plant, protect, create, learn, and network with others who share our interests. We do this through membership in National Garden Clubs, Inc. and Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs. Inc.
The Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc., known as CAR-SGC, is a non-profit corporation that was formed in October 2016 to succeed the unincorporated Central Atlantic Region of National Garden Clubs (NGC). The previous regional organization was established in May 1929 by Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. Pennsylvania joined in 1931, followed by National Capital Area in 1954 and Delaware in 1958.
Mission Statement: Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs supports the mission of National Garden Clubs, Inc. to provide education, scholarships, and Region networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility.
